NASA revealed a galaxy spanning over 600 light-years. The photo was published on Monday, January 6, in the microblog Twitter.
It is noted that the telescope shows unprecedented details. Dense layers of gas and dust are visible on the frames.
“In a panorama spanning over 600 light-years across, our Sofia telescope shows the center of the Milky Way galaxy in previously unseen details. This infrared image shows the dense swirls of gas and dust that are the building blocks for new stars, ”the report said.
